Sugarcraft / Cake Decorating Class Details
Sugarcraft classes teach basic cake decoration, the use of tools, sugar pastes, carving 2D and 3D cakes and some sugar flower making. There is an emphasis on sugar modelling.
There are currently three types of sugarcraft class available.
5 Week cake decorating evening classes, held on Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 7pm to 9pm.
Weekend workshops normally on Sundays, from 1pm to 5pm.
One to one tuition. Please contact Heather first to arrange a mutually convenient date and time.
One to one tuition can be for as many hours as you would like, subject to Heather schedule.
All cake decorating classes start on time so punctuality is much appreciated.
Individual attention to students is a top priority. Currently class sizes range from between 6 to 12 students. One to one classes are exactly that, you have Heathers undivided attention for as long as you like, to learn what you like!

Pricing
5 week sugarcraft and/or cake decorating course - £45 for the entire course.
Weekend workshop - £40 to £50 per 4 hour workshop.
One to one tuition - £20 per hour.
Equipment
For the weekend workshops you don't need to bring anything except an apron and an 8 inch box to take your model away in. All cake, pastes, baords and tools etc will be provided to you on the day. You also have the option of buying any tools or materials you like from Heather.
For the 5 week course and one to one sessions you will need to contact Heather first as this will depend on the subject of the lesson.
All food and drink are provided for free. This includes cakes, biscuits, tea, coffee, juice and water, which are all provided at the classes and courses.
Cake Baking
For the 5 week course and one to one sessions you can if you prefer to, or you can buy directly from Heather (please inform Heather a week before the class). Any cakes that are going to be baked need to be in a 3 inch high cake pan and be well risen. If the cake is less than this then you may have difficulty in practicing the techniques taught in the classes. Cakes are not a necisity for all classes or courses.
For the weekend workshops any cakes are included in the course fee. If you prefer to bake your own please let Heather know in advance. Your cake needs to be atlease 3 inches high.

Parking
There are numerous car parking spaces near the workshops and one to one sessions. Codsall village hall has free parking which is just a few minutes walk from the studio. There is also room to park along the road by my studio.
